Having noticed that my personal style has become blaaaaah I'm on a mission to start dressing as if I take some vague pride on my appearance. Unfortunately I lack the vision to do so so I've been scanning Weardrobe for inspiration (read: outfits to rip off... imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...)
Anyways I came across this girl Tavi and she is so ridiculously fashionable. How?? Okay I'm going to feel really stoopid if she's actually like my age but seriously how cute is she.

Locket love
I love lockets so I suppose it's only natural that I l-o-v-e lots of lockets! I'm oooh-ing and aaah-ing over this Locket Garden Necklace or Bracelet (love that it can be worn either way!) from one of my favorite Etsy jewelry shops Blue Moss. So fun!

Caffeine molecule necklace
I am a caffeine fiend (I call Diet Coke my elixir of life) so I couldn't have been more excited to see this caffeine molecule necklace from Molecular Muse on the Etsy front page a few days. What a wonderfully geeky gift! Other molecular representations in the shop include serotonin, dopamine and theobromine.

Nate Duval's gig posters
I love love love music so it probably comes as no surprise that I love gig posters too. Nate Duval is one of my absolute favorite gig poster artists, with his intricate and whimsical designs that always perfectly capture the essence of the act. (You may recognize that Camera Obscura poster from my wall!)

Attila Design dresses
I am dyyyyying over these dresses from Helsinki-based Attila Design. I'm particularly smitten with the first one, which is so 50s sex siren meets modern day chic. Covet! (via Kingdom of Style)
And look! They also have the most wonderfully whimsical bed! It reminds me of the fairy tale-themed rooms of the Milan hotel Maison Moschino that I posted about a while ago.

New York City etchings
New York and I have a love/hate relationship but it's mostly love. But I entirely love these whimsical etchings of New York City scapes including the Q train and Coney Island's searly departed Astroland. $25-35 from New York by Ilia. (shop via MVSEVM)

Garland necklace
Since seeing that fabulous photo on The Sartorialist I've been coveting a similar necklace. And I just found one! $80 from Bean & the Sprout. (shop via The Storque)

Dorky camp music video strums my heart strings
Have you seen the music video for hellogoodbye's "Here (In Your Arms)"? It was playing today at Crunch and the cliche geeky summer camp theme totally cracked me up.

Teeny tiny book necklace
I worked at a rare bookstore one summer so I adore old leather books. And now I can wear one! Black Spot Books makes super miniature book necklaces. Aren't they precious? (via Kingdom of Style)
And while seeing a bunch of them worn all at once is more than a bit overwhelming, it has the charm of a pile of old, loved books.
All these books just made me think of my dream library... from Beauty and the Beast! How random, I literally haven't thought of it for years. But isn't it to die for?

Red lips
I literally had never worn lipstick (save for a very occasional super natural shade and one even more occasional unnaturally light pink I got at a preview that made me look Gaga-esque). But this all changed Friday when one of my darling friends gave me a goodie bag filled to the brim with lipsticks (a hint hint, perhaps?). Now I can't stop! Do you wear lipstick?
I love this photo from The Sartorialist because it shows that red lips can go with a casual ensemble. PS I'm sure you've already seen it, but how funny is Refinery29's guide to getting your picture taken by him?

Custom-made samplers
Ohmygosh how adorable are these samplers by Miniature Rhino?? The top one is so precious - put in your own names. But hey I'm a single gal so I've only got eyes for the second one, which is choose your own constellation. But which constellation to choose?!
I'm strangely fascinated by artist Jan Blommeart's visions of trash monsters... I'm particularly taken by the Starbucks cup fingers on the first one. (via Lost At E Minor)
