Color pop!

How stunning is this painting by Michelle Armas in Joslyn's gorgeous home? Normally this type of art isn't my cup of tea but this particular one is somehow just my style. I have home decor envy!

Square branch side table from West Elm

I'm obsessed with this adorable little table from West Elm. It's on sale for only $72! I am desperately scanning the apartment for someplace it would fit in...

My dream work space

I don't remember where I stumbled across this image but I found it a month or two back and saved it for inspiration for my desk space in my new apartment. I love love love the organized chaos. And joy of joys my new apartment is almost here! I move Friday!

International real estate!

On the NYTimes site today I spotted this apartment featured in their Great Homes section. It's a 2BR in Florence with a RIDICULOUS view of the Duomo. Oh my gosh. I die! I studied in Florence for three months and fell head over heels in love with the city. I walked by the Duomo every day on my way to class and every time I could have fainted it was so gorgeous. Can you imagine looking out your window and seeing that?? I see a rooftop with a trash can on top of it out of my window. Yum. Now who has $1,288,000 lying around? Let's be friends.

Write away

I am head over heels for the newest space to be added at The Selby: fashion PR girls Aimee Bayliss and Anne Ryan and designer Nathan Smith's Australian home. There are so many inspirational decorating ideas here. I'm particularly obsessed with all the blackboard surfaces!

I don't think it's any big secret that I'm pretty much counting down the seconds until I move out of my stud-ridden shoebox of an apartment. And let me tell you, when this magical day happens, I am creating the themed art wall of my dreams framed with these bad boys from 2 Dogs Wood Working. Don't they have the most wonderful carefree Cape Cod vibe?
These crazy chairs by Fernando and Humberto Campana are so ridiculous but I kind of love them... (via Lost At E Minor)

...because they remind me of a stuffed animal pet net! Did you have one? I had an overflowing one in the corner above my bed. (image via)

My tiny bedroom - Selby style

Pretty much everyone I know is obsessed with Todd Selby's ability to capture a personality via their living space, particularly the small knick-knacks. I think it would be so much fun for some bloggers to share their spaces that way-- the gizmos and gadgets and arts and trinkets that define them and their homes. I've invited some of my favorite bloggers to join me in giving a glimpse into their world and I hope you will join too! And if you do, please let me know (ecm286 [@] gmail [.] com)! Without further ado, a few of my favorite things that I've crammed into my tiny shoebox of a room:

Pretty painted tiles

Aren't these painted tiles by Robert Ryan ($38 each) darling? Though the second one breaks my heart.

Spray paint lamp

This spray paint lamp by Breeze Block is almost too cool for words. Apparently it was also in Bust mag. Not bad, not bad indeed.

Clothes pin art

One of my absolute favorite Etsy shops, Olive Someday, just added the most genius item to their inventory. Only $16 gets you three images from a vintage book mounted on card stock, clothes pins, cord and hooks. Love it!

Ribboned mirrors and blackboards

Don't these ribbons add the most adorable touch to these classic mirrors and blackboards by Rowan's Room? If my entire wall wasn't one big stud I would have these hanging all over. Watch out when I move, world. So cute!

Orla Kiely print needlepoint

I'm on a needlepoint binge! This piece by Wall Work takes the shape of Orla Kiely's trademark print. I love me some Orla Kiely. My bff Laura and I first discovered the Brit designer while strolling down Broadway three years ago and stumbling into one of her sample sales. We were like kids in a candy shop! I got the most darling denim dress -- even though it's so simple I don't think I've ever gotten more compliments on anything. For those of you whose OK exposure is limited to the print bags, you must must must try her apparel! (via The Storque)

Terrariums!

I must have made dozens of terrariums when I was little -- on field trips and at birthday parties and the like. But mine were always in plastic cups and full of chunky dirt. Aren't these terrariums by Made By Mavis adorable? Not to mention perfect to bring a little life indoors for those of us who can't keep house plants alive.
